Students find Balance Between Homework, Home, and Phones
The cast rehearses together on stage at as they prepare for opening night. Students spent weeks practicing songs, choreography, and scenes to bring the musical to life. “It’s the craziest week, but it really bonds the cast,” senior Ainsley Bowman said.
SVHS to Present Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
These students participated in the 2025–26 State Young Author Program, submitting original short stories, poetry collections, and graphic novels for the district-level competition. Freshman Aniston Schwab earned first place in the ninth-grade short story category and will advance to the state competition. “My favorite part about participating was my love for writing stories. I enjoy using different perspectives, emotions, and cliffhangers that leave people wanting more,” Schwab said.
SVHS Writers Advance to State in Young Authors Program

Jazz Band Showcases Talent at UW Festival

The students represented Jordan in the Palestinian Affairs Council, collaborating with delegates from across the country to draft resolutions on complex international issues. “Working with delegates from other countries to reach a common goal was super rewarding, even if the sessions were ‘pretend,’” said Barnes-Boch.
