Juniors Roman Erickson and Paylan Merritt dance together as students fill the dance floor throughout the night. The two spent the evening enjoying music, dancing, and time with friends and classmates. Erickson remembers his favorite part of prom. "My favorite part of prom was definitely when Beauty and a Beat by Justin Bieber was playing and everyone was going crazy in the mosh and singing."

SVHS Honors Three Valedictorians, One Salutatorian at Graduation
Students in concurrent U.S. History classes collaborate on a Smithsonian-connected America 250 project. “It is incredible to see, when viewing my peers' projects, how differently we all interpret history and the meanings that we ascribe to certain events and documents,” senior Alex Tolley said. “It highlights how everyone's different, lived experiences change how they view the past.” They collaborated with peers from Hawaii, exploring how personal history and civic values shaped their communities and the future of the nation.
Students Participate in Smithsonian America 250 Project
The Treble Tones group show off their trophies. They won first place in the High School Women’s Choir division and first place overall for all high school choirs at the festival. Senior Clanci Osmond says, “Being able to show off what we can do with such an amazing group of girls has been a dream."
Music Groups Earn Top Honors at Music in the Parks Festival
During the first week of May, yearbook staff members work together to glue spring event pages into the yearbook — a process repeated 715 times to prepare every copy for distribution.

Iran War Escalates Global, Local Tensions
Art students traveled to Casper for the annual State Art Symposium, competing among nearly 5,000 pieces from around 70 schools. They participated in hands-on challenges, and drawing inspiration from what Mrs. Frazier calls the only showcase of its kind in the nation.
SVHS Shines at State Art Symposium
These students participated in the 2025–26 State Young Author Program, submitting original short stories, poetry collections, and graphic novels for the district-level competition. Freshman Aniston Schwab' work in the ninth-grade short story category advanced to the state competition. “My favorite part about participating was my love for writing stories. I enjoy using different perspectives, emotions, and cliffhangers that leave people wanting more,” Schwab said.
