Swifties Love Eras Tour Movie

Swifties+Love+Eras+Tour+Movie

Taylor Swift has a new movie called The Eras Tour about her current tour that first started March 17, 2023 and will continue until December 8, 2024.

This movie explores the different eras that she has done including Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights.

People who listen to  Swift’s music call themselves Swifties because they know every song by her. This movie isn’t just talking about all the eras, it actually shows one of her concerts as the film directors capture everything that happened at the concert.

Three weeks ago Salt River Cinemas played the movie that ran from October 27th throughNovember 4th. Many local fans were so excited that it was finally going to play here. One comment on Star Valley Station’s Instagram page read, “Just in time for 1989 TV!”

A bunch of Swifties at SVHS got to experience Taylor’s concert in person while others didn’t get to go to her concert because it was either super expensive or it wasn’t close enough to travel to. The movie was the closest thing to the concert that some of these Swifties could manage.

Sophomore Anna Olofson is one of those who got to experience both the concert and the movie. Olofson  said, “My favorite era is 1989 because it has the catchiest songs. I got to see the movie twice! I loved it so much, and it felt like I was at the concert again!”

Camry Granacha went to see the movie with her friends. Granach said, “I would give the movie a 10 out of 10. I really liked the movie, I think it was put together very well and it was super fun! My favorite part was definitely the beginning when she sang “Cruel Summer” because I love that song. My favorite era is 1989 Taylor’s Version! I love this era because Taylor redid the songs that were on the 1989 album.”

Junior Katelyn Schwab also got the chance to go see the movie. She said, “My favorite era from Taylor Swift is “Reputation” because you can really sing along to all the songs! I would give the movie a 1000000 out of 10. Everything in the movie was amazing, and it was so well done.”

Senior Emma Almanza is a big fan of Taylor Swift and has been since she was little. She said “My favorite era is Folklore because some of my favorite songs are on there. There was magic in the movie that brought out the sing-a-long in me.”

Emily McGee favorite era is Red. “I love this album so much because it has the main songs on there. I loved that the movie gave us a chance to see The Eras tour without having to pay a bunch of money to go watch it live.”

Every Swiftie spoken to gave the movie a perfect score, and it , in turn, gave them all a chance to enjoy it and also sing along. Hopefully in the near future Star Valley Station will play another concert movie that everyone can sing along to!

ROCKING THE FIT: Anna Olofson wears her purple sweater with white stars on her way to The Eras Tour movie.”I would give the movie a 5 out of 5!” said Olofson.
