The FFA team helps out Simplot each year during their Safety Days event.
At Safety Days, fifth graders get to learn about 10-12 different tips from fire, atv, water, electric, tractor, online, bus, bike, animal, gun, to EMT safety. About 20 students from the high school get involved.
Helping with Safety Days gives FFA participants a chance to help in the community. FFA chapter president Kaylee Leseberg said, “I like to help out my community and teach young kids; it makes life worth living”.
Simplot is a huge operation, employing many in the community. They have a history and reputation for civic involvement. When the high school and such a company join forces, good things happen.
