As spring break arrives this week, students are trading classrooms for airports and heading to destinations around the world for a well earned break. From tropical beaches to historic cities, their plans highlight both relaxation and new experiences.
Macey Schwab is spending her spring break in Belize, where she is looking forward to soaking up the sun and exploring a new environment. “I’m really excited to explore Belize and see the beaches,” she said. For Schwab, the trip is not just about relaxing but also about trying something new. “I’ve never been there before, so I’m looking forward to trying new things,” she added, noting that the break will give her a chance to step away from school and recharge.
Meanwhile, Peighton Schwab is traveling to Paris, France, a destination she has long dreamed of visiting. “Going to Paris has always been a dream of mine,” she said. From seeing famous landmarks to experiencing French cuisine, she is eager to take it all in. “I’m most excited to see the Eiffel Tower and try the food,” Schwab said, adding that the opportunity to experience a different culture is something she values most about the trip.
Ross Hilton is heading to El Salvador, where his trip has a more personal connection. “I’m excited to visit El Salvador and spend time with friends,” he shared. Along with reconnecting with friends, Hilton is looking forward to experiencing the local culture. “It will be fun to experience the culture and traditions there,” he said, also mentioning the appeal of warm weather and good food.
Spring break offers students a chance to step away from their routines, whether that means traveling internationally or simply taking time to relax. For these students, the week is filled with opportunities to explore new places, connect with others, and return refreshed for the rest of the school year.
