For junior Morgan King, indoor track is more than just a winter sport—it’s a close-knit community and a chance to push her limits on the track. Specializing in the 60-meter and 200-meter sprints, King has already set strong personal records, clocking an 8.93 in the 60-meter and a 29.53 in the 200-meter.
King says one of her favorite parts about indoor track is the smaller team size compared to other sports. The close group allows teammates to build stronger connections and support each other throughout the season. For her, those relationships are just as important as the races themselves.
As she continues to improve her times, King has her sights set on the future. She hopes to earn the opportunity to run track at the collegiate level after graduation. With determination and steady progress, she’s working each day to make that goal a reality.
Whether she’s stepping into the blocks for the 60-meter dash or powering through the curve of the 200-meter, King is focused, driven, and proud to represent her team on the indoor track.
