The auditorium buzzed with excitement during the recent Dating Game assembly on Feb. 5th. Students laughed, cheered, and watched closely as contestants competed for a chance to win a date in this playful and entertaining event.
One of the contestants, McKray Barns, sat comfortably on a couch as he asked questions to a group of girls he didn’t know. From his seat, he listened carefully to each response, trying to decide who would be the best match for him. After hearing many witty and creative answers, Leona Carlson stood out and won thanks to her thoughtful and fun responses. “I’m super excited for Agave food and especially the chance to share it with someone special!” Mckray said as the winners were announced.
Later in the assembly, Ainsley Bowman took her turn as a contestant, also seated on a couch as she asked questions to her group of potential dates. Her round brought even more laughs and excitement to the auditorium. Ainsley ultimately chose Gabe Mathews as her winner. “I am super excited and think it will be an absolute blast! Gabe and I know each other from both doing the musical, so it will be super fun to get to know him better and have some yummy food!” Ainsley shared.
Both winning couples are now planning a double date at Agave in Afton where they will enjoy good food, conversation, and a fun night out. The Dating Game assembly was a big success and showed how school events can bring students together through laughter, school spirit, and memorable moments.
The assembly left students talking long after it ended and proved that sometimes the best entertainment comes from classmates stepping into the spotlight and having a little fun together.
