Casper, Wyoming — October 31:
The Lady Braves fought through tough competition at the 4A West Regional Tournament in Natrona, earning victories over Rock Springs, Natrona, and Evanston. Their only loss came against top-ranked Kelly Walsh, finishing the weekend in third place overall.
Senior defensive specialist Braxtin Ware reflected on the team’s performance. She said, “What stands out most to me is how well we played together as a team and wanted to win for each other, not just ourselves. We knew it might be our last time playing together, so we went out there and left everything we had on the court.”
“This was our fifth time going to Casper, and now we have to go a sixth time for state,” said Kalin Schwab. The Lady Braves have already logged over 1,780 miles this season—just from trips to Casper alone.

Sophomore Kate Gaskell added with a laugh, “I don’t mind the bus rides as long as I don’t have to share a seat with anyone.”
“I’m so happy with how we did at regionals,” said Avery England. “We placed third overall, which is really good!”
Peyton Hokanson agreed, adding, “Regionals had some really tough competition, but we were able to pull through in the end.”
The Lady Braves have shown remarkable effort and resilience this season. With hard work, determination, and teamwork, they earned a well-deserved third-place finish—and a ticket back to Casper for the state tournament.
