Kaydee Coats (left ) said, "My favorite part of the football game was the overall atmosphere of the student section. Just being there while everyone lost their mind after every touchdown is one of my absolute favorite things."

The 2024-2025 school year at SVHS was full of many fun and busy times. We had another successful football season. And more fun-filled basketball seasons. "I'm so very proud of the football after the huge effort they put into getting us another state title this year," said Mckay Young, Head football coach.

Symantha Hepworth, Brooklyn Scherbel, Rebeka Rodriguez, and Taggert Ivie recieve recognition for placing in the state Young Authors contest. Scherbel said, "I am so grateful to have received the attention of those at state, and I aim to win next year!"

On the drive home from nightly activities Samantha Allred captures the crazy weather on the road. Elizabeth Petersen stated, "The worst part of the storm was probably driving through the hail". The weather was crazy that night, and the roads were covered with rain and hail.

This picture shows the cool views students enjoyed in the shark exhibit. According to Pheonixx Hovey,"The shark exhibit was definitely a favorite." Garrett Carlson added, "The zoology field trip was really cool. We watched them feed the sharks."

The 25-26 cheer team gathers on the highway to cleanup trash. The day before this they had their first practice. "I am so excited I get to experience this with my time here," exclaimed South Korean exchance student Ahrin Kim.
Cheerleaders Kick Off Season with Practice, Community Service
Dax Button, Crew Morgan, and Kai Frazier peruse the art on display from their classmates. The state art show was in the aux gym for 3 days showcasing hundreds of interesting, beautiful, and award-winning pieces. "It's fun walking around and seeing what's going in student's minds that they put down on paper," said Frazier.

These stairs, build by Mr. Balls and the stagecraft class, helped make some of the most memorable scenes from the musical possible. "The stairs were ginormous and heavy but worked better than we thought. Underneath was a maze of lumber holding them together. We made extra sure to make sure that they weren't going to collapse, super fun piece to build! We never did finish the newel posts, but I don't think anyone noticed," said Balls.

The freshmen show heart and hustle in their first Powder Puff game, putting up a strong fight against the sophomores in the event's opener. Despite the loss, the Class of 2029 made big plays and left the field with pride and excitement for next year's rematch. "My favorite part was seeing everyone work together and cheer each other on. We might not have scored, but we learned a lot and had a blast doing it," said Paisley Hollingsworth.

The Lady Braves huddle on during pink night and strategize their game plan. Coach Kalin Schwab said, "I like our team huddles because they give us time to regroup and take a breathe so that we can go back out on the court and win." This is Schwab's first year as the Lady Braves' head coach.

Star Valley Braves Leave Their Mark in Oregon
As the Star Valley Braves get ready to tee off, they congregate on the practice green at the Airport Course in Cheyenne to hear the officials as they discuss the rules governing the round. The Braves had a good season and qualified both girls and boys teams for the state tournament. The first day was a little rough due to nerves but on the second day the Braves showed that they could play and compete with the other top teams in the state.

Mr. Patterson never disappoints with his amazing fits. Patterson said, "I think it is important to support tradition! As a Brave, we all should celebrate the success we have at SVHS!! It's a great place to work, and it's a good place for students to go to school." Mr. Patterson graduated from SVHS in 1991.
