As the school year drew to a close, excitement filled the air with a variety of fun events—but one of the most highly anticipated was the Singco Show. This annual end-of-year showcase, presented by the school’s elite show choir, never fails to impress. This year’s performance, titled “Singcopation and Friends,” took place on May 27 and 28, 2025, and featured an electrifying lineup of music and dance performed by nearly 130 talented students.
Participants included choir members from both SVHS and SVMS, with standout performances from the award-winning girls’ choir Treble Tones and the dynamic mixed-voice Concert Chorale. The event also spotlighted exceptional solo and small ensemble acts, showcasing some of the schools’ most accomplished vocalists.
Reflecting on the experience, Maya Allred shared, “My favorite part about Singco is being in a group where we all love performing. The most difficult thing about Singco is keeping energy in every number.”
Senior member Nori Christensen stated, “My favorite part about Singco is the people and getting to sing songs and move people. I think the hardest thing is getting ready for the show because there isn’t always enough time to practice.”
Participating students sang and danced to a packed house on both nights of their performance. They started working on their numbers last summer. The many hours of work and practice between then and the last week of May showed.
