From April 30 to May 2, Star Valley High School art students traveled to Casper, Wyoming, to participate in the 2025 State Art Symposium held at the Ford Wyoming Center — and they made history.
This year, SVHS students shattered the previous school record of 131 ribbons, earning an incredible 172 ribbons for their outstanding work. In addition to the record-breaking total, several students received special awards, showcasing the depth of talent and creativity within the program.
This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the entire school community. Mr. Adam Guild sent out special thank-you goes to the teachers who were understanding about students missing class time for their art, to Coach Draney and other coaches who allowed student-athletes to participate, and to the school administration for continually backing the arts.
Guild also offered a heartfelt shout-out to colleague Denise Frazier, whose dedication and talent as an art teacher continues to inspire both students and colleagues. “I’m truly blessed to work alongside someone so passionate and gifted,” said Guild.
Congratulations to all of our incredible artists.
