Sophomore Kylee Linford won a ribbon for her oil painting of a family on a hike. Kylee said, "It took me a while to work on this, but it was really fun to watch it all come together. Oil paint is hard to work with, but once you get it it's fun. The details in my reference were hard to make, and I didn't know if I could do it, but when I did it felt really nice and achieving."
SVHS Art Cleans up at State Symposium

Dax Button, Crew Morgan, and Kai Frazier peruse the art on display from their classmates. The state art show was in the aux gym for 3 days showcasing hundreds of interesting, beautiful, and award-winning pieces. “It’s fun walking around and seeing what’s going in student’s minds that they put down on paper,” said Frazier.
