The SVHS color guard team gets together to compete in Blackfoot, Idaho."It was a really great opportunity for us, especially since Star Valley has a smaller color guard. It was amazing to see all of the talent and hard work that the other guards put in to make such amazing shows happen. Since our captain Kassy [Taylor] choreographed our show, it was really interesting to see the feedback the judges gave us. All of us girls worked so hard to make our show happen and I'm so grateful that we got the opportunity to compete,"said Savanna Sloan.

Some of the students who went to MORP line up to show their Hawaii themes outfits. Madison Strgar told, "The theme was really good. It is pretty easy to find matching Hawaiian shirts." Madison had a great time at the dance having fun with fellow students at SVHS.

The poultry team studies before their competition. Their efforts helped them beat 16 school teams at the competition. FFA president Sammantha Bramwell said, "Members put the work into their CDEs( career development events) outside of school by studying, practicing, and putting their knowledge to work."

The FFA officers stand together in the order in the order of their positions. 2nd-Vice President Lizzy Petersen said, "Some of my favorite things about FFA are the animals we work with (my favorite is definitely the chickens), the constant and never-ending lessons to learn about both agriculture and everyday life, and the enormous family that FFA has throughout the entire nation." Lizzy has been doing FFA for 3 years and is very passionate about her role in it.

The attendance policy is a topic that most students in the school have a pretty strong opinion about. The attendance policy says that student who miss more than 6 days in a class will have to do credit recovery to make up the time they missed in the class, Greyson Wolfley had this to say about credit recovery "I have lost three of my Fridays because I have to go to the remediation friday school to make up hours on my own time to get the credits back."

Teenagers are known to be on their phones often, but do other generations understand why? "I do think that some people are addicted, but I think a lot of kids see it as a escape from reality. Just being on my phone for a few minutes after a stressful day helps me relax," explains Gabe Henrie. Most adults view teenagers as phone addicts, but in reality they are just trying to relieve some of the stress that builds up.

Maddie Aullman and Gunner Brog, Tate Norris, Ainsley Bowman, Cooper Mclure, and Paisley Jensen hoodie-up for a pre-morp photo. They went with their matching hoodies, white shirts, and jeans. Aullman said, "This was a fun day thanks to Gunner and our group. I'm glad I was a part of something this fun."

The team ended up editing a picture of the speech & debate "ancestors" that comes from their iconic theme "Lets talk it to death." Sophomore Bailey Sperry said, "I am so happy I beat my biggest competition at our recent tournament!"
