Whether you are a student, teacher, parent, or community member, you may wonder how effective SVHS is in educating and preparing its students for the future.
This is a problematic question to answer because many factors affect a school’s effectives and even more factors affect measures of that effectiveness, but online testing data makes it possible to compare SVHS to another school in Wyoming.

US News uses a combination of standardized test scores in Mathematics, Reading/English, and Science, along with average ACT and SAT scores, the graduation rate, and the Schools College Readiness Index to rank the schools.
The College Readiness Index reflects the proportion of 12th graders who have taken at least one AP or IB exam. Passing is the course is worth three times more than just taking it.
