On Wednesday, Feb 5 at 7 PM, the Treble Tones put on their annual Valentine’s Day performance. Their performance was full of singing and a variety of love songs. Not only was there good music, but there were also platters full of desserts and cheesecake.
The singes receive their music in the summer at a retreat in August where they start practicing their music. After a few rehearsals in the first trimester, Trebel Tones starts as a class 2nd tri. The trimester culminates in the popular Valentine’s Day performance. “It is such a great opportunity for us to be able to perform and share our love and passion for singing and performing! I love to be able to sing and share some of the best love songs known. Treble Tones is such a great group of girls who are so hard-working. I was so excited to see these months of hard work pay off with a stellar performance,” shared junior Ainsley Bowman.
Treble veterans are joined by newcomers every year. “Yeah, this is my first year, and it has been super fun so far! Treble Tones is such a good environment. All the girls have bonded a lot already! I think our Treble show went really well last night because I feel like we all were able to get into the music and have a lot of fun!” expressed sophomore Peyton Hokanson.
Many of the people who filled the commons area in the standing-room-only show were very impressed with the girl’s performance. “I am lucky to have the somewhat unique experience of being in Treble Tones for three years now, and I’m so grateful for that time, and I’m also very lucky to be the Treble Tones captain this year. I think that the music that we have shared has helped bond us together,” said England. She has spent most of her high school years with the group.
So much goes into making something big like the Valentine’s Day concert happen, and all the preparation only brought the Treble Tones closer.
