Every year to start off the holiday season Afton stages their famous Parade of Lights when the community comes together to celebrate the coming of the holiday season.
People put lots of effort into their floats to look amazing for the town. Mrs. Heather Warren said, “It’s a great way to kick off the Christmas holiday.”
For the past two decades the town of Afton has put on a great show during the Thanksgiving Break. People have always enjoyed coming to celebrate with all of the lights. Even in the cold, the valley wants to start of the holiday season together. “Setting up the parade and going through out the crowds is my favorite part,” said Sam Bramwell.
Many kids show up for more than the lights as they haul in the candy tossed from the floats. This event makes the people feel proud to live in Star valley and to call this place home. Bridger Wolfley said, “We all get the opportunity to go and support one an other’s floats and businesses around our community and just help bring them up during the holiday season.”
