Have you ever wondered what the most common car brand is in the entire parking lot of SVHS? No? Well, too bad because here are the statistics on the most commonly seen car brand in the parking lot.
To get the proper number of all of the car brands in that parking lot, all it took was walking through more than half of it with a notebook and pen, writing down the car brand and marking it upon further sighting.
After this scientifically sound study, I found the most common cars in the SVHS parking lot are Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota. The first two did not surprise me, but that third one caught me off guard a bit. Why Toyota? Probably due to their amazing reliability and safety ratings.
What about all the other car brands, like the occasional Mitsubishi or Oldsmobile? At least those cars help make the parking lot more diverse and interesting.
Some students drive whatever they are lucky enough to get but other have a preference. .
Junior Samantha Bramwell said, “I drive a 2008 Chevy Cobalt. I like it a lot. One of the reasons being the gas mileage. I bought it from a friend.” She is right about that gas mileage. The Cobalt gets 28 mpg to be exact. This car came with a 2.2L and pushes 148 Horsepower and 152LB-FT of torque. I give this one a 6.5/10 ill rating. A great first car for most people
Not everyone drives smaller compact cars. Sometimes people sophomore Kaycee Thomas go bigger. He said, “I drive a 2014 Nissan Rouge with a 2.5 4 Cylinder. She’s my baby from Utah! I got it from my Grandpa as a gift.” He sure does love that car. Its 2.5 4 Cylinder makes 170 HP and 175FT-LBS of torque, a nice big SUV, built for his safety and hauling all his friends around. And it gets better! He gets between 26-33 Miles to the gallon in this thing; however, the CVT transmission and rumored engine issues could be a problem. Just for that reason, I’m going to give it a 7/10 ill rating, but it is still a fantastic car all-around
Although Chevy, Ford, and Toyota are the most common brands you’ll see out in the parking lot, other good cars abound. Just like students in the school, the different kinds of cars make the parking lot interesting.
