It’s a Friday night in good ol’ Afton, Wyoming. We people of Star Valley don’t have much to do, especially teens. One thing everyone can look forward to is a new Marvel movie coming out. Skyview Lanes, the center of the valley’s fun, gets jam packed with people coming to see the new marvel movies, and Avengers: Endgame was no exception or disappointment.

For several years the Marvel Franchise has been putting out bangers. Everyone who is someone always finds a way to make it to the theaters when a new Marvel movie drops. The Marvel Cinematic Universe works in crazy ways. Since May 2, 2008 with the release of Iron Man, Marvel has been putting out movies like crazy, somehow fitting them all together to form one huge story. The movies have been called the “Infinity Saga” and cut into three phases.

Phase One: Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Marvel’s: The Avengers.

Phase Two: Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Ant-Man.

Phase Three: Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spiderman: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, and last but not least Avengers: Endgame.

Avengers: Endgame is the final movie of the Infinity Saga, bringing us full circle and giving us the ending we all wanted. Senior Andrew Jeske went to go see the movie with Brenna Battleson, who recently returned from Uganda. He said, “I liked it, but it could’ve been better.” He’s probably the only one who thought this.

When Endgame hit the theaters, everyone raced to the theaters to get tickets, many paying extra for premier seats. Sophomore English Buttram and her family are hardcore Marvel fans. She said, “My family bought out a whole row like a month early to ensure we had seats. We also showed up 2 house early and didn’t buy food or drinks, so we wouldn’t risk missing anything for a bathroom break.”

The movie was great to watch, and it was a crazy 3 hours long. Senior Asefa Wetzel said, ” I loved the movie, but it could’ve used more Black Panther since it was 3 hours long. Wakanda Forever.” Endgame broke many records including fastest to $2 billion and highest opening weekend gross. Endgame moved to number 2 in highest grossing movies of all time, passing Titanic in just 11 days and trailing only Avatar. The movie also made $1.223 billion on opening weekend, the highest ever.

If you haven’t gone out to see the movie yet, you better head out! Skyview will only screen the film until May 16th, so hurry!

ENDGAME: These marvel superheroes give us the amazing movie we wanted to see.
