The school wide white list policy has changed once again, this time giving students who are on the list a better chance to get off of it.

The old white list policy made it so if a student had any grade under a C- they had necessary tools such as Google taken off their iPad. That gave rise to some problems because many students needed those tools do their homework and get off the whitelist.

The new policy is slightly more laid back calling for only a 2.5% increase in grade score each week. IT specialist Bernt Jenkins explained. Say you have a 59% in one of your classes, as long as you get that grade up to a 61.5% you will be taken off the white list for that week, but if you fail to get it up to at least a 64% the next week you will be added to the list until you increase by another 2.5% all the up to a C-. Only improving in some grades under a C- would not remove you from being white listed.  For instance if you have more than one grade under a C- you would need to improve all of those grades to get the restriction removed.

No doubt students will still find reason to grumble about the policy, but softening the restrictions show that administration has heard the feedback and is attempting to improve the policy while still keeping it in force as a way to motivate struggling students.
