Halloween arrived and with it came a time to party!

This year’s Halloween Dance took place on Friday, October 26th, here at SVHS. The dance was filled with many fun activities from the action-packed photo booth to the super fun music.

“This was one of the first dances I actually enjoyed; the music was banging,” said senior Madi Stewart.  This reflects the changes made to the dances this year. Mr. Reed Pebbles, one of the chaperones at the dance, said that he enjoyed the dance and it was a fun atmosphere.

According to Pebbles, all the profits made from the dance went towards the American Legion Auxiliary totaling in about $900. Pebbles also said that all the cool prizes given out at the dance were donated by community business. The products included an Echo dot won by Morrea Morgan, bluetooth speakers, Apple AirPods, and a Flat screen TV won by sophomore Ruby Rammell.

Senior Koa Delong said the the dance “was rad because I won an Amazon Fire TV Stick.” Cool prizes went to many dancers for only a $5 admission fee!

“This was my first high school dance, and the music was good and so was the food,” said Freshmen Paige Zahne.
