It is a well known fact that SVHS is home to many greats. Each year, the Mountain Star gathers a sacred council to induct nominees into the Star Valley High School Hall of Fame. In this edition, we review the selections of the Class of 2017. Welcome to Hall:

Eddie Clark

Eddie is well known as an all-seeing father figure as well as the ultimate coaching messiah of Wyoming. He places his sacred worth largely on the success of his wrestling team and their inevitable state wrestling title each year. Though Eddie may seem hard and bristly on the outside, he is actually quite soft and sensitive on the inside.

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS: Wore a sleek mullet(with pride) 15 years after it had gone out of style

SOURCE: Goodland, KS; Spearfish, SD

Spencer Angell

Spencer sits upon a gilded throne of fame here in Star Valley High School. Spence is known for his intense resilience to the elements as well as his extremely high pain threshold. In the winter, you can find Spencer jumping off the Grover bridge and into the icy embrace of Salt River. Legend has it that Spencer was shot in the foot with a high power firearm and lived to excel in a cross country race the next day.

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS: Able to drink 16oz of H2O in under 2.8 seconds

Mary Romine

Mary Romine is well known and respected throughout the nation as the guardian of the counseling office with her trusty sidekick Margaret Hart. Legend has it that if you enter a dark room and repeat her name 3 times into a mirror she will appear and clear all of your previous absences.

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS: Coached Shaun White (Eventual Gold Medalist) for the Winter Olympics — Can also cook minute rice in 56 seconds

Jayce Erickson

Jayce is unique in the fact he was inducted into the Hall of Fame late in his Freshman year. Jayce is revered in any Call of Duty lobby and is well-respected among peers for his extremely notable 2.781 Kill/Death Ratio.

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS: Can get any girls number as long as they’re a year older.
